Facial Home Remedies

I’ve tried tons of facial products from drugstore to expensive brands for my skin. Some of them made my skin breakout and gave me acne. Instead of buying another products, I just decided to do organic stuff that I can get anytime from my kitchen without spending another $$ for brands that will only fail me.

Here are my homemade remedies:

  1. Black Facial Mask (Activated Charcoal)

  • 1 – 2 tsp activated charcoal
  • 1 tsp raw honey or yogurt
  • 1 tsp distilled or filtered water

Mix all the ingredients all together to make a paste. Apply it to your face using a brush or your clean fingers. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water and mild soap (i used dove) and then pat it dry with a dark color soft towel. Apply your favorite moisturizer.

Use dark or old towel to dry your face to avoid stain.

  1. Turmeric Facial Mask

  • 1-2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 1 tsp milk or yogurt

Mix all the ingredients all together to make a paste.  Apply a thin layer to your face using a brush or your fingers. Let it sit for 25 minutes or longer. Rinse it off with cold water and wash it with mild soap (i used dove) and then pat dry. To remove the yellow stain, I used makeup remover wipes before applying my favorite moisturizer.
Be careful when applying the paste, turmeric can stain your skin and clothes when applied. Use dark or old towels.

  1. Egg Facial Mask

  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 tsp lemon
  • 1/2 tsp organic coconut oil

Bit the egg whites until frothy. Add the lemon and coconut oil and mix it all together. Spread the mask to your face and let it dry for 30 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water and mild soap and pat dry.

  1. Apple Cider Vinegar Astringent

  • 1 tsp organic apple cider vinegar
  • 2-3 tsp filtered or distilled water

Mix the ingredients all together. Soak the cotton pads and wring it. Dab the soaked cotton pads to your face and neck and let it dry for 10 minutes before applying your moisturizer.

  1. Sugar Exfoliant Scrub

  • 1 tbsp white or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tsp organic coconut oil
  • 1 drop of Essential oil

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat it dry with a soft towel. Use clean, moist hands and scrub it gently to your skin. Remove the scrub by rinsing your face with lukewarm water and then pat your skin dry.

  1. Aloe Vera Face Mask

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp aloe vera gel (extracted)
  • 1 tsp olive or coconut oil
  • 1 tsp lemon (optional)

Mix the egg white until frothy. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until combine. Wash your face with warm water and then pat your skin dry with clean towel. Using your clean hands, apply the mask to your face. Let it dry and re-apply again. Leave to dry for 20-30 minutes. Wash it with warm water and let it dry.

Travel: How To Get Cheap/Free Flights

Do you love to travel and go for an adventure in some places that you have never been to but worry about the airfare? Here are some of the tips that you can do to get a cheap or free flights and fly to your dream destination:

1.BE FLEXIBLE

There is no way that you can get cheap flights if you are not flexible, this includes flexible on dates, times, destination and airports.

2.AIRLINE COMPARISON

Make sure to know your airline comparison engines. First, all you have to do is go to their websites and do airlines comparisons. If you find something that is cheap, go to that airline’s official website and check which is more cheaper. Another tip is, get the details of what you have found on the website and take it to your local agency to match it. Sometimes they will match the price or beat it in a lower price (I do this a lot of times).

Flight Comparison Engines:

www.kayak.com

www.skyscanner.com

www.google.com/flights

www.expedia.com

www.airfarewatchdog.com

3.WHEN DO WE FLY?

Weekends tends to be more expensive because a lot of people fly and they have the time off during the weekends. Avoid flying during the peak seasons like holidays, you’re not gonna get a cheap flight. Airlines increases their tickets on holidays, increase in traffic and chaos; if you can avoid flying on holidays, avoid it.

Make sure to book or buy your tickets ahead of time to get a good deals, start searching for airfare 5 months ahead for international and 3 months for domestic flight.

Cheapest day to fly is Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Some airlines considered Thursday to Sunday a weekend depending on your destination, .

4.PRICE ALERT & SIGNUP FOR DEALS

If you have more time in your hand, setup a price alert. Kayak does this well where you have your save route and then they will alert you when the price goes down or it gets potentially higher. They will also give you an advice when is the best time to buy it.

Signup for deals or newsletter either directly from the airline, local agency or airline search engines. They usually have a 1-2 days flash sale or 1 day sale, promos and discounts for certain destination and flight date.
